This was one of my favorite assignments, though the most personally exhausting! For all three sets I was able to easily choose the top three or four photos, and then spent about two days trying to decide on a final photo—often a decision that caused me to reselect all photos in a set, only to go back to my original choices.

There were several photos I really liked, but felt they did not fulfill the entire criteria of the assignment. Then there were several images I thought were interesting, but would have benefited from extra editing.

I took this series of photographs in a touristy, boating section up north in Cyrpus. At first I was worried I would end up with just a collection of photographs of boats—which, as someome living in the desert, is something I curently crave seeing! I received a lot of stares from locals for photographing everything but the boats, but I really enjoyed trying to find something interesting in the least suspecting spaces—and to the point where I eventually just needed to stop.

As far as editing, I tried to alter as little as possible to really keep focus on the settings of my camera. Of course, the one setting I really, really wanted to edit was exposure—which speaks to the area of photography I find to be the most personally challenging!
